Our Mission
Animal Friends Humane Society (AFHS) was established in 1952 and is Butler County’s largest, oldest non-profit animal shelter. Our mission is to promote humane principles, to protect lost, homeless, abandoned and mistreated animals, and to act as advocates for animals in our communities.
Upcoming Events
The Fairfield Township Patriots Day Festival returns to the Heroes Park behind the fire house for the 2nd annual community fest & car show. Food trucks, events for kids, DJ JD Hughes throughout the day, followed by 2 bands playing a free concert in the park. The concerts start with After The Party which opens up the show at 3:30, followed by the Cassette Junkies! We had over 100 cars for our first year and we’re looking to make this year bigger and better.
